Examination
Examination
This is our chance to gain an insight into your oral condition with the latest technology and to ensure your teeth and gums are not only in good health but also looking great. At your initial exam, we will discuss all your needs and wants and try to create a tailored treatment plan that will address all your concerns in a logical approach. You will be informed of all possible solutions and we will try to involve you in your treatment every step of the way.
Fillings
A simple and effective way to repair damaged teeth as a result of decay, fracture, or trauma. There are several different types of fillings, such as composite (white) fillings, amalgam (silver) fillings, porcelain, and metal restorations. All have their respective roles in restoring teeth.
Crowns
A crown is a tooth-shaped “shell” that helps restore the function of a broken down tooth. These can be made in metal or porcelain or a combination of both. With the latest ceramic materials, these can be made to appear as close to nature intended.
Bridges
A solution to replacing missing teeth by anchoring them onto adjacent teeth. They provide a solution to patients who do not want a removable denture nor an implant.
Root Canal
Root canal treatment is when a tooth is so severely decayed and fractured that the nerve is involved and sometimes leads to infection. And asides from extracting the tooth it is the only other solution that can save the tooth for several more years. It involves accessing the nerve within the tooth and cleaning out all the infection, pulp, and nerve tissue, and sealing the inside with a root filling.
Extractions
On occasion, teeth are beyond saving. At Wisteria House we are all very experienced in extracting teeth having had placements in the hospital. But we also have an Oral Surgeon, Dr. Jonathon Brown, at the practice who extracts complicated teeth and wisdom teeth requiring surgical removal.
